It's good that it's raining. Maybe if it keeps raining long enough our state won't catch fire again this year. It seems like maybe some of us have lost track of eachother over the winter. That shit happens; it shouldn't prevent us all from going on a few adventures now that the weather's getting warm again.

I'm moving to Eugene in August. I'm going to take two random classes at Lane Community College. Still no desire to get a degree. I'll have to find some sort of job. I'm not too worried about that since I know that I can work even the most demeaning job without losing my soul (I've got a W-2 from Hell if you don't believe me) and I'm sure I can find something. Other than that I'd like to ride my bike a lot (first I need to completely overhaul Isabella-and have Alex show me how to do it myself), take as many photos as I can, start writing books, learn everything about history that Brandon can teach me, explore Oregon, and start living a happy and productive life.

But that's still a ways off and I'm also going to Italy at some point in May. Come on IRS, get your shit together and gimme my money. I'm working fulltime at the Sunflower where I pretty much can't get in trouble (my mormon boss told me the other day that I smelled "powerful like reefer" and probably only mentioned it so that I could air out before Becky came in) and am happy with my position there. I'm taking slightly better care of my body than I have in the past. Callista's going to be my yoga/quit smoking cigarettes buddy.

I've been listening to a lot of Tom Waits lately.

I'm exhausted and tired of sleeping on a couch but I still haven't made my room habitable and it's probably leaking in there anyway because of the rain. I hope everybody is doing well. Good night, Interwebs.

-Addam

So today I finally tracked down my portfolio on the 35 DVDs that used to be my hard drive. I thought that I'd lost shots from this summer and from the last 4 years forever. I can't describe the feeling of relief.

Anyway, Room-101 doesn't seem to want to work for me anymore so I opened a Flickr account. If you want to see any of my new shit, just go to flickr.com and type addam.goard into the search people thing and you'll find my page.

Fuck LJ Cut

Stolen from Rebe, the first 1-2 sentences of every month in 2006

January
Yea, I think I might finally be done with worrying so goddamn much. Anxiety is a pretty pointless, stupid emotion.
February
So I'm wandering myspace because I'm bored and I come across this girl's icon. And I think, wow, that's a great fucking picture.
March
So my dad filled my FAFSA out 2 days ago. Except actually he didn't and I had to do it last night.
April
I am very pleased to know that Addam Goard Images will be photographing the tournament as well as having a booth there to "show case" the action between the teams.
May
I think I've spent about 6 hours editing pictures tonight. My brain ACTUALLY feels numb.
June
Well I officially got a 3.5 and had to talk to Jackie Levy about graduation photos for my dad and thought about how a year ago, I was the little kids walking away from Dova in June getting ready for summer and how this is kind of my first adult summer (though they'll keep getting more and more adult) and then I thought about the Fourth of July and how it will be 6 o'clock and it will be getting cooler outside when I grab my keys and bounce to wherever and for whatever reason that made me feel better.
July
Kansas was pretty awesome for a bunch of old people. How can you listen to Carry On Wayward Son and not enjoy it?
August
All I have to do is find a way to San Francisco on September 7 and I'll be in Italy.
September
"There will be in the next generation or so a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude and producing dictatorship without tears, so to speak, producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them but will rather enjoy it."
-Aldous Huxley, 1961
October
Rage is far too subtle a word for what I feel right now.
November
Sometimes I am astounded by the stupidity of others.
December
I've become sort of bad at expressing myself lately. Sometimes I forget the words I'm looking to use and sometimes I think that maybe I never knew the necessary words in the first place.

If you can make it, apparently the Deftones have a free show at Cesar Chavez park at 5 PM.

I always underestimate the Deftones because they're like, a metal band, but every time I start listening to Adrenaline I remember that their music is actually really good in a pissed off, aggressive, let's-smash-shit-up-because-the-world-sucks kind of way. So if you have the time, I strongly suggest you go see a cool Sacramento band.

THE TRUCK HAS RETURNED TO ME! I never realized how much I consider that thing to be like an actual entity. It's the only car I've ever seriously driven so I have a lot of sentimental feelings toward it.
Every time I see new pictures by that random girl on Myspace, I kind of want to marry her. Some of her stuff is kind of typical, but most of it seems very well thought out. It's not that it's drastically different from anything I've ever seen, but she takes great shots of downtown that don't even look like downtown.

Before I die I'm going to find a photographer that I really like to take my portrait.

If you're reading this, random girl, this is an invitation to go downtown and walk around taking pictures. We can talk about our mutual love of saturation and high contrast black-and-white, and why we think Canon is so awesome even after they let everybody down by releasing the 30D.

I want to see the London Philharmonic Orchestra when they come to the Mondavi center but it's like 40 bucks and I'm always broke. Should I try to buy a ticket?

I think that Beatles For Sale is a drastically underrated album. Probably because there's a lot of crap on it. But, track for track, it has plenty of hits.

I think What You're Doing is one of the coolest Beatles song ever and all anybody ever talks about is Revolver?

Martin Luther King Jr., I know that you did a lot of good things for millions of black people around the world and I respect you deeply for clowning the establishment without the use of violence, but I have to say that the biggest reason I look up to you would have to be because you're giving me a few extra days before I have to go to school. For this last thing, I salute you, Martin Luther King Jr. I hope you have a good birthday or whatever, chilling with Ghandi and Bobby Kennedy and whatnot.
